Cover Supervisor

LOCATION: Aylesford School
ROLE: FULL-TIME
SCALE: Kent Range 5
OTHER DETAILS: Fixed Term to Permanent
HOURS: 35 hours per week - Term Time only plus 1 Staff Development Day
REQUIRED: Immediate

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise students and deliver pre-planned lessons to promote learning and well-being for our students during periods of teacher absence. Consideration will be given to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will generally cover lessons of any subject, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment.

In periods where cover is not required the successful candidate will support in the classroom as directed.

Experience of working in secondary education is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of students with a range of challenging needs, dedicated to maximising student achievement, excited about collaborative working and keen to join a school that is relentless in its pursuit of excellence.

This would be an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant looking to further their career or a tutor looking to develop their experience in a school environment. The successful candidate may be able to use this opportunity to embark on an employment or university based route into teaching.
