Wrotham School Rebuild Diary
May 2024

Wrotham School is excited to announce that BAM Construction has been awarded a contract by DfE to deliver a £42 million renovation project, replacing and upgrading the existing school.
The project will provide an additional 265 permanent places from September 2027. It includes the design and construction of 7,459 sqm new buildings, alongside smaller refurbishment works. The school will benefit from an enhanced 2,200 sqm outdoor sports and games area to support physical and mental wellbeing. Improvements are also being made to enhance traffic flow to reduce highways impacts and pupil safety.
BAM is also working closely with the Department for Education (DfE) to enhance biodiversity around the school and deliver 200 trees during the preconstruction phase.
The project will be delivered in four phases. To ensure continuity of education, temporary classrooms will be brought on site and the existing buildings to the northwest will remain until the new facilities are completed.
